The event, which runs from Tuesday, March 9 to Friday, March 12, aims to help women with the digital transformation of their businesses and support the country’s economic recovery process.

There will be three trainings per day on different topics, each one lasting 45 minutes.

In addition to how to use the tools of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp to connect with their audiences and generate relevant content, the entrepreneurs will learn about financial planning, capital management, use of applied technology in finance and economic management in times of crisis.

“At SENA we have teamed up with Facebook to commemorate International Women’s Day, an initiative to promote opportunities for Colombian women entrepreneurs.

This purpose links us with Facebook to continue building a country and today carry a positive message for the economic and safe reactivation of all of Colombia, ”said Hernán Fuentes, SENA Director of Labor and Employment.

Women’s businesses have been the hardest hit by the pandemic, being 11% more likely to close; a clear call to action. This alliance with SENA seeks to equip women with tools that help them strengthen their digital presence so that their businesses grow. Empowering women not only reduces gender gaps, it also promotes overall economic growth, ”said Paula Bárcenas, D&I leader of Facebook, Andean Region.

The She Makes History trainings will be broadcast live through the SENA Facebook Page.

The trainings will be available in this place for any entrepreneur who wants to access them.

To celebrate this day, SENA will also carry out through its Public Employment Agency on March 8, a call for employment for women nationwide with more than 9,000 vacancies that can be consulted here.

For its part, Facebook launched the campaign in Latin America #BUY THEM to encourage people to buy from women’s businesses.
