The photographer of EL UNIVERSAL, Berenice Fregoso accused that Andrés Manuel López Obrador used in his morning conference the video of the attack in which she was injured in the March 8, 2020, to justify the installation of metal fences around the National Palace and that to date, justice has not been served in his case.
In the morning conference this Monday, López Obrador asked to transmit the video in which it is observed that protesters throw Molotov cocktails and the fire reaches the photographer Berenice Fregoso.
“Look if we don’t put up the fence, what happens,” said the President at the time the Molotov cocktails are thrown, it explodes and burns the journalists.
“If we don’t put up the fence then we have to put grenadiers, women and men face to face, it is exposing the lives of those who are demonstrating and of public servants, it is preventing, there is no limitation to demonstrating, we are not going to repress the people” , he assured.

In social networks, the photojournalist also pointed out that the other side of the impunity, since neither the capital prosecutor’s office or any other authority have provided information on what happened that March 8, 2020.

Molotov cocktails fire hit photojournalist
