In the 58th minute, Chelsea threatened again. Through Reece James’ experiment, the defender’s kick only slid slightly to the left of the Everton goal.
Chelsea’s pressure finally led to the second goal, in which Kai Havertz back into play. In the 65th minute, the hosts were awarded a penalty, after Jordan Pickford violated Havertz. Jorginho advanced to be the executor, and could outwit the English goalkeeper. Score becomes 2-0.
After winning, Everton was increasingly having trouble facing Chelsea. Almost no meaningful opportunity was created by Carlo Ancelotti’s foster children.
While Chelsea can still make a few shots on target. First through action Timo Werner in the 80th minute, and a Kurt Zouma header in the 81st.
In the 85th minute, Chelsea almost added a goal if a shot N’Golo Kante, who entered to replace Mateo Kovacic, was not denied by Pickford. Until the match broke up, no goals were scored again. 2-0 win Chelsea on Everton Hang in there.
