The independent journalist Héctor Luis Valdés Cocho denounced yesterday that he has received threats against him through obviously false profiles on social networks.

According to the reporter, the threats reach his Messenger mailbox from a profile that calls himself Ángel Sánchez.

“We are going to leave you lying in a corner and no one is going to recognize you how disfigured we are going to leave you. Before you leave the country we are going to give you what we have been preparing for a long time. Your boyfriend’s husband has already suffered, now it’s your turn and I swear that yours is worse ”, indicates the screenshot of Valdés Cocho’s conversation with this individual.

Other captures shared by the independent reporter show more serious threats, which promise consequences such as death against Valdés.

“We will defend this revolution at whatever cost is necessary, even killing rats like you. Watch your back ”.

Héctor Luis Valdés Cocho, who in the past has been a victim of repression by the authorities In retaliation for exercising independent journalism, he did not hesitate to leave a reply against the threats made against him and his loved ones.

“Obviously the desperation in these people is so great that once again they use the lowest modes such as intimidation and threat. But what outrages me the most is not only the clear intentions to try to sow fear, but they use totally false profiles and to make matters worse. They use the image of a Cuban woman who had plenty of decorum and courage, like our beloved Celia Cruz ”, he declared in his publication.

According to Valdés, this person called him from a private number and when he did not receive a response from the journalist, he proceeded to write all the messages against him on Facebook.
