A total of 80 of the 87 voters agreed, said Alexander Grevel, board member of the Climate Protection Party, on Monday the German Press Agency in Freiburg. The previous party conference had to be canceled due to technical problems, this time everything went smoothly. A preliminary version of the program had been available online for a few weeks. In addition, the party initiated a postal vote at the party congress on Monday, with which the six-member board is to be officially confirmed. The climate list was founded in Freiburg at the end of September and will be competing in the state elections next Sunday with the overriding goal of stopping global warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius. You see yourself as a “one-goal party” and as an “offer to people who are waiting for a consistent climate protection policy and comprehensive climate justice,” said Grevel. The climate list has put up candidates in 67 of 70 constituencies in Baden-Württemberg and is confident that it will be able to overcome the five percent hurdle for entry into the Stuttgart state parliament. Political scientists, however, doubt it. © dpa-infocom, dpa: 210308-99-740342 / 2 — . Related posts:Salah Abdeslam: 'Molenbeek is small. Everybody knows each other'Take off the mask or not?
