La Tartana Teatro arrives this Friday, March 12, at the Calixto Sánchez municipal theater with the play ‘Soñando a Pinocho’ at 5:00 p.m. Recreate the story of how Pinocchio was created. Gepetto is a fireman on an old steamboat. Hard and lonely work with the only company of logs and fire. The boiler room is full of logs waiting to be engulfed by the fire. Well, not all! Because Gepetto, skilled with a knife, carves all kinds of figures in wood. Now Gepetto is carving a box that already has an addressee, because he is no longer alone, an incessant cry is heard, he is a cricket, a new friend. Is the caladeras room a magical space or is the stoker’s solitude that gives magic to everything that surrounds him… Gepetto and his cricket friend will live the adventure of finding a partner inside a simple wooden log.

The 2 remaining works scheduled for this winter 2021 change time, from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m., to adapt the performances to the time restrictions imposed by the pandemic. ‘Pride of a woman’, on March 20, and ‘Orlando by Virginia Woolf’ are the works affected by the modification of the schedule.
This program prepared by the Mairena del Alcor City Council, has the collaboration of PLATEA, the State Program for the Circulation of Performing Arts Shows in Local Entities Spaces, organized by the INAEM (National Institute of Performing Arts and Music ) in collaboration with the FEMP (Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces).
