Tottenham Hotspur has recorded 100 goals this season. Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho can’t stand insinuating those who call their team playing defense.
Tottenham Hotspur won 4-1 at home to Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Monday (8/3/2021) early morning WIB in the continuation Premier League. Gareth Bale and Harry Kane both scored a pair of goals, while a reply from Palace was made by Christian Benteke.
The four goals delivered The Lilywhites to a note. It was Tottenham’s 100th goal of the season, which is no trifle.
They are the second team in Europe’s top five leagues to reach 100 goals in all competitions this 2020/2021 season after Bayern Munich. Bayern currently has 106 goals.
This record becomes a weapon Jose Mourinho to ward off accusations that his team played negative football. Mourinho is known for his pragmatic approach, not hesitate to play very defensive football as long as he can bring the team one chance to win.
“If the statistics given to me are correct, 100 goals this season, it’s not bad for a very defensive team, a very negative team,” he said. Jose Mourinho.

This victory is Tottenham’s third in a row. Harry Kane et al while occupying sixth position with 45 points from 27 matches, two points behind Chelsea in fourth.
An additional three points over Palace means Tottenham have now earned 24 points at home. Only Manchester City have scored more from home games in the Premier League, which is 35 points.
