Alemannia lost 1: 3 in the traditional derby
The Alemannia closed the second English week in a row with another defeat. At Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, currently the best team in the second half of the table, the black and yellow were defeated 1: 3 (0: 2) on Smastag.
Aachen’s interim coaching duo Kristoffer Andersen / Dietmar Bozek had to compensate for three failures after the home defeat against Münster. Takashi Uchino, Matti Fiedler and Oguzhan Aydogan could not make the trip due to injuries. In addition, Sebastian Schmitt only sat on the bench. Leon Gaedicke, Hamdi Dahmani, Stipe Batarilo and Simon Seferings came back to the team.
The black-yellows actually found their way into the game and had their first good opportunity after six minutes. Dahmani staged Rüter on the right, who aimed over the goal from 15 meters. An individual faux pass then put the Alemanni behind. A mistake in the build-up of the game was followed by a long, initially harmless ball from the hosts, but Heinze couldn’t get the leather under control.
Kreyer pulled up and away, rounded Mroß and made it 1-0 (12th). The Aacheners were by no means without a chance in the period that followed. After a nice combination, Studtrucker was free, but hammered the leather over the box from twelve meters (22nd). After half an hour, Rüter hit a corner from the left, Müller volleyed the ball from ten meters and missed the goal by just a few centimeters (32nd). On the other hand, a negligence in a standard situation brought the Tivoli kickers further behind. Oberhausen’s Müller brought the corner from the left into the penalty area, where Öztürk ran his head into the ball and scored the 2-0 with the help of the right inner post (34th). Again it went with the mortgage of a two-goal arrears for the Kaiserstadt in the cabin.
The second round started promisingly for the Alemanni. Galle hit a cross from the left half field, Dahmani was on the spot with a head and reduced it to 2: 1 (47th). After Odenthal had failed shortly before, the black and yellow Erat on the left wing were not given. Kreyer didn’t hit his filing properly, but Oubeyapwa was completely blank at the far post and made it 3-1 (62nd) from close range. The Aachen resistance was broken and the home side came up with further opportunities. Kreyer (64th, 70th), Öztürk (67th) and Propheter (71st) failed to increase the result. Due to the second clear defeat within four days, Alemannia failed to reconnect with the upper half of the table.
