Moroccan singer Abderrahim Souiri was arrested Thursday, March 4, 2021, in the Ryad district in Rabat, for non-compliance with the state of health emergency. He’s risking a lot.

The arrest took place in a house where around 40 people were attending a wedding party in these times of Covid-19. The singer Abderrahim Souiri was the host. The elements of the police arrested the master of the place and the singer, as well as six other people among the organizers of the party for violating the health measures decreed to counter the coronavirus, reports Barlamane.

This is not the first time that police have arrested people at a wedding party celebration for failing to comply with the state of health emergency. On January 14, 2021, Moroccan dancer Cheikha Trax was arrested at her home in Marrakech for the same reason. His arraignment followed a live Facebook broadcast of a video of the artist’s wedding party with friends. Nearly 37 people had been fined, and had paid a fine of 300 DH for violation of the state of health emergency.
