The vaccination campaign against Covid-19 on the Segovia province It has exceeded the barrier of 6,000 immunized -specifically, 6,138-, by already having the two planned doses of any of the vaccines, which is equivalent to 4 percent of the population of this territory, slightly below the average of Castile and Leon, which remains at 4.1 percent of the immunized population.
The rest of the provinces handle similar values, which oscillate between 3.3% of Valladolid and 5.4% of Soria Y Palencia. Thus, they present the following vaccination percentages of their population: Ávila (4,9%), Zamora (4,7%), Salamanca (4,4%), Burgos (4,3%), Segovia (4%) and Lion (3,5%).
In absolute terms, the province where the most people are already immunized is Valladolid, with 17,302, followed by Lion (16.369), Burgos (15,421) and Salamanca (14,613), which are the four most populated territories in the Community; while at a greater distance they are Palencia (8.723), Zamora (8.128), Ávila (7.813), Segovia (6,138) and Soria (4.841).
A third of the people in the province who have been immunized with the corresponding doses, that is to say, full cycle, are older than living in residences (2,001), while they are followed in number by workers in social and health centers (1,959) and health center workers (1,539). Statistics indicate that women have received more than twice as many vaccines as men, mainly because they are the majority in residences and also in the professional and social health field.
According to data from the Castilla and leon meetingAt this time, 305,589 doses of some of the vaccines have been used (Pfizer, Modern The AstraZeneca), which represents around 80 percent of the almost 380,000 doses received by this Community. This percentage places Castilla y León in the national average (80.1%), according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health, in which the autonomies with a higher percentage of vaccines administered over those received are Andalusia (86%), Aragon (85,8%), Galicia (82.7%) and Estremadura (82,1%).
The perspective expressed by the Minister of Health, Veronica Married, is that in the coming weeks a greater number of doses will arrive, as new laboratories join the distribution, and that in this way the mass vaccination process in the Community can start, especially for the month of April.
