Latvian art will earn international attention at the technology exhibition

Garages are a symbol of free space for ideas and creativity. Next to the gleaming screens and colorful plastic installations, which mostly make up the stands for almost all the other participants of the exhibition, the innovation garage, made of wood, with a rotating head attracts a lot of visitors and also the interest of the international media.

“Seeing how many people notice our stand and show interest in it at the exhibition, it is clear that a bold and correct decision has been made to talk about Latvian technological innovations through art,” says LMT Vice President Ingmārs Pūķis. “Over the past year, we have met a lot with start-ups, scientists and large international companies. We have developed new products and development projects such as a 5G unmanned car test track, smart TV and internet for drones to export. ”

“In our opinion, even the smallest invention starts with a garage. It is a world where you can hide from everyday worries, give in to the flight of thought and create something unusual, which others will later call innovation, ”says K. Neiburga.

The garage created by K. Neiburgs and A. Egles has already held the Venice Biennale before the mobile technology exhibition in Barcelona, ​​but then the artists have implemented this idea at the legendary music and art festival “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival” in the United States, California.

LMT presents the latest solutions in the development of the 5G network in the garage stand, as well as in the field of smart cities, drones, civil protection and other technologies that are being created in Latvia. Visitors to the exhibition can also learn more about the cyber landfill, which is a unique solution in the field of mobile security and which will strengthen the security of today’s cyberspace at the level of both countries and companies. The solution developed by LMT has already been used and appreciated in the NATO Cooperative Cyber ​​Defense Center of Excellence Cross Swords 2018 training.

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is one of the world’s largest events in the field of mobile technology, which is taking place for the 31st time this year and annually gathers more than 110,000 visitors, participants and lecturers. At the exhibition, device manufacturers, service providers and developers present their latest achievements to the media, potential partners and other interested parties. The technologies and products presented by MWC determine the current trends of the year, and therefore this is a very important event for manufacturers, in which the most influential mobile technology companies participate.
