Changes in the security measures to limit the spread of Covid-19 are taking place in accordance with the plan of the Ministry of Health, previously approved by the government, according to the so-called “traffic light principle”, the Ministry of Culture (MoC) said.

Speaking about the conditions under which cultural institutions could be opened, the Ministry of Culture noted that in the working group specially established by the Ministry, work is underway on scenarios for the gradual resumption of work in Covid-19 conditions. Work on this issue is also taking place alongside public vaccination. It has already been reported that the resolution of the 12th Congress of the Latvian Theater Workers’ Union called on the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Culture (CM) to start analyzing the current situation in detail and create a mechanism for theaters to recover from the crisis. reopen theaters as soon as possible and open to at least partial public attendance.
