Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The World Health Organization (WHO) plans to reveal the causes of the emergence of Covid-19. Where the WHO has conducted an investigation and will be announced in the middle of this month.
WHO Team Mission Head Peter Ben Embarek said the results of the WHO investigation contained the origin of the Corona virus appearing in Wuhan, China in December 2019.
“The time (announcement of the results) is March 14-15,” he said as quoted by Reuters, Saturday (6/3/2021).
Meanwhile, Ben had said that the Corona virus probably originated from bats. However, it is not yet known how it got to humans.
Therefore, the results of this study will explain in detail how the virus occurred, where it came from until it reached the human body.
“What their team has done is really working hard to try to get a full report so we can have a proper discussion,” said WHO emergencies expert Mike Ryan.
On the other hand, WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus ensured that the results of the report would later be disclosed in a transparent manner.
The research done is quite long. Because, the WHO team has arrived in Wuhan since January 14 with strict monitoring by the Chinese authorities.
