Brenda Mendoza Kawanishi was officially presented as the candidate for mayor of Ensenada by the Going for Baja California coalition, made up of the PAN, PRI and PRD. Guadalupe Jones Garay, a pre-candidate of said alliance for governor of the entity, was present at that event.
The candidate for municipal presidency stated that her decision to accept said candidacy is to promote the economic and social growth of Ensenada and collaborate with her participation in uniting those who, beyond party colors and acronyms, coincide with that objective.
She indicated that in her character as a businesswoman, teacher, mother, daughter, she decided to participate in a sense of being a citizen accompanied by the militants of the three political parties that make up the coalition.
Regarding her resignation as director of Municipal Economic Development, Mendoza Kawanishi pointed out that the conditions do not exist to actually carry out from that government position a work in support of the business sector and the economic activities of the city and municipality.
