Health: do we really need a hospital in the Pays de Gex?

A few months ago, Pays de Gex Agglo approached the Gessiens, as part of a health questionnaire. More than 5,500 people took part in the game and the answers have just been returned.

Au given the shortcomings highlighted in this questionnaire, can we now consider that a hospital is necessary in the Gessian region? Not so easy to answer straight off “yes”.

Distance from hospital structures

On the question of hospital satisfaction, 2/3 of the participants consider the offer unsatisfactory and for 80% of them, the main reason for dissatisfaction lies in the geographical distance of hospital care. Indeed, you have to travel several tens of kilometers to get to our referral hospital which is the CHANGE (Annecy-Genevois Hospital Center), whether on the Saint-Julien-en-Genevois or Annecy site.
