Drake announced a few hours ago that new music by him will be released tomorrow (March 5th) at midnight – and this does not mean his upcoming album CERTIFIED LOVER BOY, the repeated delay of which the rapper announced on January 20th. Rather, he shared a cover with the title “Scary Hours 2” via Instagram, which is most likely a continuation of his surprise EP “Scary Hours” released in 2018.
Drake fans have been waiting eagerly for his sixth studio album, CERTIFIED LOVER BOY, since last summer. But the corona pandemic and finally one Knee surgery repeatedly thwarted the release. But supposedly it should now be certain that the record will appear by April 2021 at the latest. At least that’s what the YouTuber and radio host DJ Akademiks revealed, who, according to his own statement, heard it personally from Drake. The rapper apparently wants to bridge the waiting time of his fans with “Scary Hours 2” – similar to 2018. Whether this is actually the suspected surprise EP has not been officially confirmed, but it is more than obvious.
DJ Akademiks seems to be a reliable source
Most recently, Drake was at Filming a music video spotted in his hometown of Toronto. This could be an indication that the final touches on CERTIFIED LOVER BOY are actually moving forward. An album release before April 2021 would not be so unlikely. In addition, DJ Akademiks seems to be a reliable source: He not only published the video from the music video set, too tweeted he already said a few days ago that he was expecting new music from the rapper this week, which has now been confirmed.
