eBay is expanding its marketing opportunities

The marketing options available play a major role in ensuring success on online platforms. As part of its spring update, eBay has now introduced expanded options for voucher marketing and new advertising tools.

The fact that eBay bundles the innovations for its commercial sellers in spring and autumn updates has meanwhile become established. With the measures that the online marketplace announced for the beginning of April, the focus is clearly on the marketing opportunities that are made available to retailers.

On the one hand, this applies to voucher marketing: eBay sellers with a shop subscription will in future be able to create voucher codes for their offers free of charge. Customers can redeem these directly when paying.

While the couponing options on eBay were only global, retailers can now precisely determine the type of discount (amount, percentage or volume discount), the range and the requirements for the voucher, such as a minimum order value. Sellers are also free to decide whether the voucher will be displayed publicly on eBay or whether the seller will only make it available to selected buyers.
