2021 Public Holiday Calendar in the Official Valencian Community

The plenary session of the Consell has approved this Friday the decree that establishes the work calendar for application in the Valencian Community for the year 2021, and which will once again include June 24, Saint John’s Day as a holiday. In total, twelve non-working days are set for labor purposes, paid and not recoverable, while the feast of San Juan will be paid and recoverable.

Thus, in 2021, will be holidays on January 1 (New Year), January 6th (Epiphany of the Lord), March, 19 (Saint Joseph), April 2 (Holy Friday), 5th of April (Easter monday), May 1 (Labor Party), and June 24 (San Juan). So will the October 9 (Day of the Valencian Community), October 12 ° (National Holiday of Spain), November 1st (All Saints), 6th of December (Day of the constitution), December 8 (Immaculate Conception) and December 25th (Christmas).

As explained by the Vice President of the Valencian Government, Mónica Oltra, in the press conference after the plenary session of the Consell, the municipalities will complete the working calendar with two local holidays.

The Consell has approved the official calendar of non-working days for the year 2021 in the Valencian Community, which also includes San Juan.

The labor calendar included in the decree has been submitted to a prior report by the Tripartite Council for the Development of Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining of the Community, a consultative body where the most representative trade union and business organizations in the Community are present.

Holidays in Alicante

The City Council has given the approval of all the political groups of the corporation to the designation of the local festivals of a traditional nature in 2021, which will be the Thursday, April 15, feast of Santa Faz; and June 23.
