SG kickers donate blood

TROHE / ALTEN-BUSECK – (red). The last training session was around four months ago. For some of the SG Trohe / Alten-Buseck footballers there was a reunion recently. At the initiative of player Johann Martschenko, they all decided to do a good deed in this difficult time: donate blood in the Giessen University Clinic. For most of the participants it was the first donation. The expense allowance of 25 euros per person is to go to the “Space Party Crew”, an association promoting various social and non-profit projects. A total of 260 euros have already been collected for this. Immediately after the blood sample was taken, the players were determined that this should not have been the last joint donation. In April, as soon as the next blood donation is possible, they want to compete again with a larger number of participants. The aim is to hand over an amount of at least 1000 euros to the “Space Party Crew”.

The players were enthusiastic about the action – in addition to the good cause, it was also an opportunity to see part of the team again and to keep club life going even in lockdown. “Everyone is looking forward to a sporty and communal reunion on the sports fields at home and we are excited to see when the ball can finally roll again,” said the SG. Until then, it is important to practice a little patience and to keep fit independently.
