Does Heidi really come to life? – The opening of the Heidi village was planned for 2021 thanks to funding from the federal government and the canton of St.Gallen: Now the Quartner Sovereign will decide on the development of tourism on the Flumserberg on June 13th. A vote with an uncertain outcome.

Heidi from St.Gallen reinvented? Maienfeld already saw all the skins swim away. The headlines in March 2016 exceeded each other, the competition in the neighboring canton was already nervously predicting that Johanna Spyri would turn around in her grave: A Heidi adventure village for 30 million francs is expected to attract around 200,000 visitors a year to Alp Mols on the Tannenboden on the Flumserberg ? That sounded too good to be true. And caused a lot of bad blood! The drafts were already drawn – on paper. The only thing missing was the investors. Construction work could have started as early as 2017.
