New York rehearses a “covid pass” for vaccinated and negative

The state of New York start testing an ID card for people vaccinated against Covid-19 and that they have tested negative for the coronavirus “to help speed up the reopening of theaters, stadiums and other businesses.”

The identification, which is both physical and digital, with the possibility of a mobile application, has been baptized as “Excelsior Pass“and was tested for the first time during the basketball game played by the Brooklyn Nets, on February 27 at the Barclays Center.

Governor Andrew Cuomo officially announced Tuesday the start of the program to test this pass that has been developed in cooperation with IBM.

This health identification will be rehearsed in a meeting of the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL) at Madison Square Garden, on March 2.

Cuomo announced today that 15.2% of New York State residents have received the first of two doses of the vaccine.
