Through the Donations and Social Aid Program 2021, 11 associations and foundations have benefited with more than € 70,000 to carry out social projects.
| 02.03.2021 | León Grau, President of AITEX, together with Vicente Blanes, General Director of AITEX, presented yesterday – March 1 – the second edition of the Donations Program. The initiative, promoted by AITEX, aims to contribute to the promotion of initiatives aimed at the attention of priority groups and / or at risk of exclusion. This goal will be achieved thanks to the financing of projects that favor the coverage of basic needs, personal and social support and improvement in their quality of life; at the same time to recognize and collaborate with those non-profit organizations that work for the benefit of society.

70,792 euros to social causes
In total, AITEX has granted 70,792 euros to finance initiatives aimed at disability, dependency, poverty and risk of social exclusion. The entities selected to benefit from the Donations Program have been valued according to the criteria of capacity to develop the project (infrastructure and necessary personnel); experience in carrying out similar projects; the social impact and objective identification of needs, social, technical and economic viability; and the quality of the proposal.
11 beneficiary entities
There have been 11 beneficiary entities of this Donations and Social Aid Program:
ACOVIFA
ACOVIFA – Association Against Gender and Family Violence – Alcoy y Comarca.
Help: € 8,000
Through the project presented, they intend to provide victims of gender violence with the appropriate tools to meet their needs and the necessary support to achieve their social inclusion.
ADIBI
ADIBI – Disabled and Rare Diseases Association of Ibi.
Help: € 8,000
Through the “ConVida20Adibi” project, direct care is offered to 10 children with disabilities between 0 and 16 years old and lacking financial resources; offering individualizing service of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychopedagogy, psychology and speech therapy.
AEPA
AEPA – Foundation for the Analysis, Study and Prevention of Addictions of the Valencian Community, action to be carried out in Alcoy.

The INTEGRA´2 project aims to organize therapeutic actions so that people who are in a situation of social exclusion due to the presence of addictive behaviors can improve their life project. Therapies such as a therapeutic garden, leisure and free time programs and animal-assisted therapies will be used.

AMACMEC – Association of Women Affected by Breast Cancer of Elche and Region, action to be carried out in Crevillente.

The “Mucho por Vivir” program aims to provide support and information during the process and treatment of breast cancer to achieve the physical, psychological and social well-being of those affected.
APCA
APCA – Cerebral Paralytic Association of Alicante, action to be carried out in Onil.

The project proposes the use of new technologies so that the entity’s professionals can attend to children with cerebral palsy problems.
Friends of the Elderly Association
Friends of the Elderly Association – San Francisco de Ontinyent Residence.
Help: € 8,000
Through the “Cuidem Junts” project, the aim is to mitigate the loneliness of the elderly by carrying out a care plan focused on each person.
Associación TEA
TEA Association – Asperger Font Roja Mariola, from Alcoy.

The project presented is intended to promote the social skills of people with ED. Thus helping people with Asperger’s syndrome, childhood autism disorder, atypical autism, and pervasive developmental disorder not specified (PDD-NE).

Courage Association, of Alcoy.

Through the “Renàixer per viure” project, the aim is to increase the autonomy and independence of people who have suffered a brain damage injury through neuropsychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy and neurophysiotherapy services.
FISAT
FISAT – Angel Tomás Solidarity Initiative Foundation, action to be carried out in Alcoy.

The Don Bosco Educational Support Project aims to carry out preventive work aimed at children at social risk, which facilitates orientation processes and contributes to the full social insertion of its recipients through socio-educational support, family monitoring and leisure programs and free time, so that all these actions contribute to the personal development of each recipient in a positive way and have a beneficial long-term impact.
La Salle Foundation Welcomes
La Salle Acoge Foundation, action to be carried out in Alcoy.

The ‘Hogares Nou Horitzó Alcoy I and II’ project offers a comprehensive reception and attention to basic needs; as well as social inclusion for people at risk of social exclusion. This is achieved through the maintenance and operation of a reception apartment in the municipality of Alcoy. There, accommodation is offered and people between the ages of 18 and 25 are cared for, to promote their social and family integration.

Archbishop Miguel Roca Canonical Foundation – Proyecto Hombre and Cáritas Ontinyent

The project aims to improve the employability and job placement of people with addiction problems at the Ontinyent Day Center.
The entities will carry out their social work in Alcoy, Ontinyent, Ibi, Onil, Crevillente.
