JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government ensures that it will bear the cost of Value Added Tax ( PPN) for purchase site house and apartment during the period March 1 to August 30, 2021.
This policy was issued to encourage public consumption, especially the middle class in the property sector.

Sri Mulyani explained, for the criteria for property whose VAT is borne by the government (DTP) a landed house or apartment with a maximum selling price of Rp 2 billion.

The government will bear 100 percent VAT for this property category with a maximum of Rp. 2 billion.
“So a maximum of Rp 2 billion or Rp 2 billion below the price is borne 100 percent of the VAT,” he said.
Meanwhile, landed houses or flats with prices above Rp. 2 billion to a maximum of Rp. 5 billion, VAT DTPit’s only 50 percent.
Keep in mind, that properties with DPT PPN incentives are only properties that have been completed or are ready to live in.
On the other hand, the policy does not apply to housing properties that have not yet been completed or are still under construction (pivot).
“And he has to be handed over physically during the incentive purchase period. So in this case there is no house that has not yet been completed which will be finished next year,” he said.
In addition, VTP DTP is only given for one unit of site house or flat house per person and cannot be resold within one year.
