The low-cost driving license has more and more followers: example in Charente

More and more young people, or not so young, are choosing to take their driver’s license using online platforms. They see it as an opportunity to make substantial savings, which traditional driving schools dispute.

And what decided her to choose this system is the price. Ornikar advertises indeed on his site driving hours at 34.90 euros, or accompanied driving at 999 euros.

Availability of monitors every day of the week

But the platform also communicates on the flexibility of schedules. Philippe Alves, Hamida’s instructor who is advising her this Sunday, has registered on the platform as a self-employed person, he confirms the flexibility of the hours: “We are available every day of the week from 6 am to 23 hours.”

An availability with which traditional driving schools cannot compete. As for the prices charged by the site, they are not so advantageous according to Pierre Fougeras, the manager of the “Plein-Sud” driving school in Angoulême:

They put forward their prices, I saw 750 euros, but there is nothing in it. There are 20 hours of driving, but there is no compilation of the file, no license applications, no code exams, no support for the practical exam, no initial assessment.

In addition, a package of 20 hours of driving is hardly ever sufficient, and you have to add more hours with the platforms, as in classic driving schools. And as our colleagues explain‘Autoplus, the monitors are not always very numerous and their availability is not guaranteed on a regular basis. However, to learn to drive, it is better to do a series of sessions.

For learning to code, on the other hand, online sites are more accessible and you can revise at your own pace and when you want.
