The Government of the Community of Madrid has lifted this Monday the mobility limitations in 10 basic health areas (ZBS) and in seven municipalities in the region. On the contrary, it has imposed them in a new area of Leganés for 14 days and maintains them for another seven days in Torrejón de Ardoz, Collado Villalba, San Sebastián de los Reyes, three basic areas of the capital and Villanueva del Pardillo, as well as in the small town of Hoyo de Manzanares. In total, from this Monday, March 1, 391,000 inhabitants of 17 ZBS and Hoyo will have greater restrictions than the rest of the community, which means having 5.9% of the population confined. 8% of contagion cases are concentrated in these areas.
This is an important relaxation of the measures, since last week 25 basic areas and eight localities were closed, in which 707,000 people from Madrid live, and all this despite the fact that Madrid is the peninsular region with the highest incidence of the virus. As for the general measures, the ban on receiving visitors in the houses is extended for two more weeks, until March 14, as well as the beginning of the curfew and the closing time of the bars and restaurants at 23.00.
These are, one by one, the measures of the Community of Madrid:
Restrictions by basic health zones
A health ZBS is not a neighborhood or a district, it is a set of streets that belong to the same health center. To find out if you live in a confined area or the incidence of the virus in your neighborhood, enter your street in this search engine.
– New restricted areas. Starting at 00:00 on Monday, March 1 and until 00:00 on Monday, March 15, the ZBS of María Curie, in Leganés, is closed.
– Zones in which the limitations end. The residents of 10 basic health areas and seven localities are no longer confined, also from this Monday. These are the ZBS of Aravaca (Moncloa-Aravaca), Montesa (Salamanca) and Jazmín (Ciudad Lineal) in Madrid capital. In the rest of the community, they are raised in all the ZBS of Alcobendas and in those of Moralzarzal and Getafe Norte (Getafe), as well as in Villaconejos, Navacerrada, Becerril de la Sierra, Mejorada del Campo, Brunete, Griñón and El Álamo.
– Areas that were already closed that are maintained. One more week, until 00.00 on Monday, March 8, Torrejón de Ardoz, Collado Villalba and San Sebastián de los Reyes are closed, as well as the basic areas of Andrés Mellado (Chamberí), General Oraá (Salamanca) and Vinateros-Torito ( Moratalaz), in Madrid capital. In the rest of the community, the ZBS of Villanueva del Pardillo and Hoyo de Manzanares will continue to be perimeter.
In these areas, the extra measure applies:
-Perimeter closure. Entrance and exit are prohibited, except for “adequately justified trips” by means of a document (here you can download the receipt to enter or leave for work reasons or to care for the elderly or dependents). Among the exceptions are going to the doctor, work or educational centers, return to the place of habitual residence, care for the elderly, minors or dependents and attendance at exams or judicial, administrative or banking procedures. Zones can be crossed and citizens can move within them. The capacity and hours are the same as in the non-restricted areas.
As a novelty, on Friday it was announced that the entrances and exits of the closed ZBS to sports centers will be allowed, as long as the activities are developed by physical trainers and under medical prescription.
Measures for the entire Community of Madrid
– Restoration and commerce. The closing hours of bars and restaurants remain fixed for at least two more weeks at 23.00, but these establishments cannot admit new customers after 22.00. They are allowed to distribute food until 00.00. The limit of customers at the tables on the terraces is kept at six, a maximum of four inside the premises.
As for the shops, the shutter is lowered at 10 pm, and beyond that, only those that provide essential and unavoidable services such as pharmacies, medical centers, veterinarians and gas stations can remain open. Cinemas, theaters, auditoriums, tent circuses, multipurpose multipurpose halls, “similar spaces” and places of worship may end their activity after 10 pm if attendees respect the curfew.
– Curfew. Also for two more weeks, from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am, mobility is prohibited, except for just cause such as going to or returning from work.
– Social meetings. It is still not possible to receive home visits, with exceptions, such as couples and married couples who live in different homes or people who live alone, who may be reunited with a single coexistence unit.
– Gauges. In interior places the capacity is 50% and the bar service in bars and restaurants is still suspended. The exceptions to the general rule of 50% are: 75% occupancy in theaters, cinemas and other cultural facilities, 40% in multipurpose multipurpose rooms (such as the Wizink Center) and 75% in outdoor terraces, commercial establishments and centers non-regulated training.
