England is looking for patients with the Brazilian variant of the virus

The English authorities are looking for a patient who is said to have tested positive for a highly contagious Corona variant from Brazil. The person sought did not provide any contact details during their corona test and has therefore not yet been found, the Public Health England authority announced on Sunday. A total of six cases of the Brazilian variant P.1 had surfaced in Great Britain, but the others were traceable.

The authorities called on all citizens who had taken a test on February 12 or 13 and had not received a result or had not completed the registration to report. In addition, the passengers on a flight from Brazil on February 10th should be contacted. “We have to find the person as soon as possible,” said Vaccination State Secretary Nadhim Zahawi in an interview with the BBC.

In mid-February, Great Britain introduced a mandatory ten-day hotel quarantine for travelers from high-risk areas – but this was after the flight from Brazil arrived. Health Minister Matt Hancock wanted to discuss the occurrence of the variant with MPs on Monday.
