On March 1, the 102nd anniversary, today (1st), condemnation rallies and vehicle demonstrations were held in various places in Seoul, mainly by conservative groups.
In the midst of raining rain, about 10 people, including members of the Free Korea National Team, held a rally in front of Gwanghwamun at around 11 am today.
Our Republican Party holds a press conference at Tapgol Park at 12:00 noon today, and is holding a rally with no more than 9 people at about 150 places, including subway stations and traditional markets all over Seoul, starting from 1 p.m.
Earlier, the court dismissed most of the applications for suspension of execution, which some conservative groups objected to the quarantine authorities’ ban on the March 1 assembly, but allowed a maximum of 20 to 30 people to gather at some gatherings.
Small vehicle demonstrations also follow.
The emergency national solidarity vehicle demonstrators head from the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts at around 12:30 PM to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office in Seocho-gu, and the National Assembly vehicle departs near Euljiro at around 1 PM and moves to Sinseol-dong, Dongdaemun-gu.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, there are about 1,600 gatherings in the March 1st in downtown Seoul today.
The police are preparing for an emergency by deploying more than 7,000 people in 118 companies of police force.
