Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland start the new week with the sun. If the fog fields have dissolved early Monday morning, people on the Rhine, Moselle and Saar can expect maximum temperatures between 11 and 14 degrees, as the German Weather Service (DWD) forecast. Accordingly, it remains largely dry during the day and on Tuesday night.

Because the night temperatures are likely to be between 2 and minus 3 degrees, there is a widespread threat of frost near the ground. The meteorologists therefore warn of icy frost. During the day, the sun appears again after the fog fields have dissolved. According to the DWD, it stays dry at maximum temperatures between 12 and 15 degrees.

In the night of Wednesday, therefore, there are few clouds over both federal states. However, fog must be expected in places. The temperatures drop to 3 to minus 2 degrees in the mountains. The experts warn again about black frost. According to the DWD, the day will mostly be bright after the fog fields have dissolved, with clouds likely to come up. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 12 and 16 degrees.
