From tomorrow, Monday, March 1st, a new safety video will be shown on all Air France long-haul flights. This is not particularly funny or wacky like certain other safety videos were recently, but it emphasizes the advantages of France. Specifically, the French culture is presented from its elegant, lively and moving side.
In addition to all the updated legal requirements, the video focuses on the essence of the Air France brand. It is both an invitation to travel to the whole world and a declaration of love for France and its «Art de Vivre». Two crew members explain the safety instructions to passengers as they travel together from one attraction to the next – to magical places that evoke the best of France. For example, the video goes from the Opéra Garnier in Paris to the gardens at Versailles Palace, from the sunny French Riviera to the legendary Hotel Martinez in Cannes, on through the vineyards of Provence, through museums, to a fashion show, to a stopover on one typical French café terrace and further along the banks of the Seine. The safety instructions end – where else? -on the top of the Eiffel Tower, sparkling at night.
Six years after the last safety video was published, this new version also takes into account the airline’s various aircraft types and cabin equipment. The video was developed in collaboration with the new communications agency Aura by Omnicom and in partnership with Atout France, France’s tourism authority.
