JAKARTA – Trio Xiaomi Redmi K40 Series just launched. Carrying the speed theme, handphone flagship this latest Redmi consists of Redmi K40, K40 Pro, and K40 Pro + (Plus) .

And all three use chipset Snapdragon 800-series, although the hierarchy is clear. Because the regular model gets chip 7nm with the new “coating”, the other two pack the Snapdragon 888, the very latest.
Likewise with the camera. Redmi K40 Pro + is equipped with a 108 MP sensor on the main camera, the Pro gets a 64 MP sensor instead, and the regular version has to settle for a 48 MP sensor.
Speaking of appearance, then we will get the same thing across the model. Redmi K40 Series packs an AMOLED E4 panel made by Samsung with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. The display supports the DCI-P3 and HDR10 + color spaces, which get the A + mark from DisplayMate. Its brightness can be adjusted smoothly over a total of 8,192 levels and peaks at 1,300 nits.
GSM Arena noted, all three models are powered by a 4,520 mAh battery, which charges up to 33W via USB-C using standard protocols -USB Power Delivery 3.0 and QuickCharge 3.0+. The top speed may not seem high, but the charging process is optimized so that the battery goes from 0% to 100% in just 52 minutes.
Connectivity features include sub-6 GHz 5G as well as WiFi 6 for fast data speeds while traveling and at home. There’s also Bluetooth 5 with Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, also has NFC, and an IR blaster.
Mobile this has speaker stereo with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification. Unfortunately Xiaomi ditched jack headphone 3.5 mm. There is also a motorbike linear X axis for better haptic feedback.

Redmi K40 Pro + is powered by a 108 MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, measures 1 / 1.52 “and comes with 9-in-1 binning support, resulting in an effective pixel size of 2.1 µm. The technology supports dual native ISO and Super Night Scene 2.0 to handle every lighting condition.
Joining the capabilities is an 8 MP ultrawide angle camera (119 °, f / 2.2) and a 5 MP telephoto macro, plus a 20 MP camera on the front. There is a camera that is shared with the other two models, the advantage of the Pro + is really in the main camera.
The camera can record 8K videos at 30 fps and 4K videos at 30 and 60 fps. Slow motion clips can be shot up to 960 fps at 1080p resolution. As for the camera selfie up to 1080p at 30 fps for traditional video, and 120 fps for clips slow-mo 720p.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 888 packing a fast Cortex-X1 CPU core, the Adreno GPU is 35% faster than the one on the SD865 and the NPU lends 26 TOPS of processing power to the AI algorithm. The chipset is linked with fast LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 RAM. – .
