André van Duin has been working on an album with covers of songs by Charles Aznavour since the spring of 2020 and thinks Danny Vera would be suitable to produce the record. He confirms in conversation with The Telegraph that his recent collaboration with Vera tastes like more.
Van Duin recently released the song Forever out, which he dedicated to his husband Martin Elferink, who died last year. The song was largely written by Vera, who then approached Van Duin with the question whether he would like to take care of the lyrics and sing the song.
“All credit to Danny, you know. I tinkered with the lyrics a bit, but we quickly decided,” says Van Duin, who sang the song live Matthijs Continues, with Vera on guitar.
Van Duin is impressed by the qualities of Vera and wants to use him for the Aznavour album he started on after a cover of Bohemian, which he performed during one of the last broadcasts of The world moves on.
“I can see Danny producing that album. I noticed during our recent collaboration that he really understands everything. Sound, light, the microphones, the guitars. He has very solid advice about that.”

However, the two will not form a real duo. “No dude, that’s not possible at all!”, Says Vera. “This man … this is André van Duin. Van Duin does not see herself traveling through the country with Vera that quickly. “But you don’t know what the future will bring and you should never say never.”
