This operation aims to anticipate quality of service problems and improve performance, specifies Maroc Telecom, adding that during this operation, all international traffic passing through said cable was switched to the Loukkos submarine cable connecting Asilah in Seville. Some intermittent quality of service disruptions have been noted, including slow browsing on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, the same source notes. Maroc Telecom thus assures to have restored the situation last Monday evening and this well before the re-commissioning of the submarine cable Atlas Offshore, while presenting its apologies for the inconvenience caused.
