The Mayor of Manizales reported that the process is open to access the Caldas and Manizales Responden credit lines, offered by the Municipal Administration, in an agreement with the Government of Caldas and Bancóldex.
780 Manizalese businessmen have benefited from these financial supports that are vital in the economic reactivation during the pandemic. The management of the Secretariat of ICT and Competitiveness achieved that the credit line, which started with 72 billion pesos available, now has an additional 10 billion. Of those, there are 28 billion available.
Initially, these resources were aimed at financing working capital, raw materials, supplies, payroll, operating operating costs and expenses associated with the implementation of biosafety protocols.
Since this month, Bancóldex authorized that the capital can be used to replace liabilities, that is, payment of debts with banking entities, which is a relief for businessmen affected by the crisis caused by COVID-19.
Juan Felipe Jaramillo Salazar, Secretary of ICT and Competitiveness, indicated that there are 36 billion available for entrepreneurs in the tourism sector and for micro-enterprises in all sectors.
Regarding credit ceilings, microenterprises can access sums of up to 20 million pesos if they access through entities oriented to microcredit, and 100 million pesos through commercial banks. SMEs can receive up to 700 million pesos, and large companies, up to 1,500 million pesos.
“We invite you to access these resources for working capital and pay off debts at lower interest rates. We want them to have the necessary conditions to sustain their businesses and expand new opportunities to strengthen the business fabric, ”said Jaramillo Salazar.
The micro, small, medium and large companies that benefited from loans last year supported payroll payments, acquisition of supplies, raw materials and other operating expenses.
