A well-known leaker had his say remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and on the future of Pokémon games: the rumor he launched would see 2 games set in Sinnoh for the next few years, a remake and a more complex title set in the Middle Ages.
According to his Reddit post, the remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl they would be in style chibi – like the Let’s Go titles – and would have a fighting style similar to that of Pokémon Sword and Shield. They would call themselves Pokémon Brilliant Diamond e Shining Pearl. Also, it wouldn’t be developed by Game Freak, but by ILCA, creators of Dragon Quest XI. The reason for the choice would fall precisely on the fact that Game Freak would instead be working on a new game open world set in a “Sinnoh feudale” outgoing in 2022. The medieval setting would be perfect for reconstructing the lore of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and the Sinnoh region, serving as a prequel to the original titles, although according to the author of the post, the starters will be a mix of initial Pokémon from three different generations. The medieval concept seems to recall the old spin-off Pokémon Conquest.
