During the first day of accepting applications for the purchase of Ioniq 5, the automaker issued 23,760 pre-orders for the car. Thus, the electric crossover broke the record for the updated Hyundai Grandeur sedan, for which 17.3 thousand buyers applied in one day at the end of 2019.
In South Korea, an electric car will cost about 50-55 million won (3.3-3.6 million rubles), and taking into account government subsidies for environmentally friendly transport, the cost of a car could fall to 40 million won (2.6 million rubles). …

The electric crossover was the first model of the South Korean brand to be released under the new “green” sub-brand Ioniq. At the heart of Hyundai Ioniq 5 lies the scalable architecture of the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which allows you to create cars of various sizes and with different body types.
The Ioniq 5 is available with two battery options, 58 and 72.6 kWh, as well as a powertrain consisting of one or two electric motors. The top version is equipped with a pair of electric units, which in total give out 302 hp. and 605 Nm of torque. Such a car is capable of gaining a “hundred” in 5.2 seconds, and its maximum power reserve is 480 kilometers.
The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 will go on sale in the first half of 2021. It is possible that later the electric car will reach Russia.
