The problems seemed to be particularly prevalent on Messenger, with a large number of reports on Twitter.

Some said they could not send messages, while others complained that the new ones that were being sent were not arriving.

As such, users may not realize that they are affected by the issues, and may miss messages that they may not know were lost.

Users also complained that meetings had been missed because the application was not working, as it was not possible to use its calling functions either.

Facebook’s platform status tracking page, which provides updates on important issues, how they’re being fixed, and how long they might last, showed no issues.
