Xbox Live is experiencing an outage that prevents users from signing in and from playing multiplayer or cloud games. The outage started around 9:15 PM Dutch time and Microsoft now says the solution is near.
Xbox Live, the online service for Xbox consoles, is not accessible for many players on Thursday evening. According to the Xbox status page accounts and profiles, the store and subscriptions, multiplayer games and cloud gaming are affected.
Also, players will not be able to start some single player games if they require a connection to the Xbox Live service. Among other users on the Tweakers forum report the malfunction.
Microsoft says it is aware of the malfunction and work on a solution. According to the status page, the solution is near, but it is not yet known when users can log in again. Nothing has been disclosed about the cause of the malfunction. Microsoft speaks of a ‘big interruption’.
