The state has released billions in emergency aid for Californians. The program includes assistance for individuals, small businesses, and other assistance programs throughout the state to bring relief to our communities.
Individuals and families will receive assistance through direct payments of $ 600. This will include those with incomes less than $ 30,000, taxpayers of ITIN, to families enrolled in CalWORKS to individuals receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI). With a total of 5.7 million supplemental stimulus payments for low-income Californians.
Small businesses will also receive immediate assistance assistance that has been quadrupled. They can receive grants of up to $ 25,000. And $ 50 million will be allocated for cultural institutions. This help also includes tax cuts and omission of various fees for small businesses affected by COVID-19. This money is an addition to the grants that have been provided to small businesses which means that more small businesses can apply for the grants. For information and updates, visit the website from California’s COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grant Program.
Additional statewide assistance has also been included for restoring reductions, expanding eligibility for CalWORKS, Federal funds for assistance and care with student assistance, food and diaper banks, and farmworker housing support.
I will be sure to share more information with you as it becomes available. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact my district office at (562) 861-5803.
Sincerely,
Cristina Garcia
