NEW YORK – Police are searching for a person who allegedly struck a 2-year-old boy multiple times in the face inside a subway over the weekend in Harlem, authorities announced.
The suspect and the child were on a northbound line C train entering the station 116th Street around 3:00 pm on Saturday, when other passengers saw the suspect attack the minor.
The boy suffered redness to his face and was taken by paramedics to Mt. Sinai Morningside Hospital for treatment, while the suspect, who remains unidentified, fled the scene.
It is unknown who the minor was with at the time of the attack.
The New York City Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect when he was near the turnstiles at the subway station.
