As part of the Black History month celebration at U.S, the library of the city of St. Petersburg, on the west coast of Florida will be renamed in honor of the former president Barack Obama.
The city’s mayor, Rick Kriseman, noted that the name change seeks to highlight “the extraordinary story of Barack Obama, the first African American president and his historic presidency “to inspire new generations.
Starting next Friday, the St. Petersburg Main Library will be President Barack Obama’s Main Library.
“I think the President’s Main Library Barack Obama Not only will it complement city buildings named after local pioneers, but it will serve as an example for other cities, “stated the President of St. Petersburg.
