This time it’s the right one! Thionville and its agglomeration will open a Covid-19 vaccination center at the Municipal Theater, from this Friday February 26 at 9 a.m. It has been several weeks since Pierre Cuny had requested it and was only waiting for the green light from the prefecture and the regional health agency.

This Tuesday, facing the press, it is the elected Jean-Christophe Hamelin-Boyer, the “Mr. Health” of the agglomeration, who unveiled the operation of this center and its vaccination course.
Is the center open to everyone?
To all inhabitants of the territory who are over 75 years old, health professionals (even if they are more likely to come to the Bel-Air hospital center) and vulnerable groups, on prescription from their attending physician . The vaccine is Pfizer-BioNTech. The doses are managed and delivered by the CHR Metz-Thionville.
Will the center ensure the 2e injection ?
A date for the 2e injection is taken on site and a vaccination certificate will be issued.
What will be the rhythm of the vaccination?
Next week, 140 people will be vaccinated every day. Double the following week, plus triple the 3e week.
Who makes it work?
Liberal health professionals, the Intercom Santé 57 network, the citizen and civic reserve, a logistics team from the town hall… Most have already had experience with the screening center set up at the Jean-Burger gymnasium last year. Doctors and nurses are responsible for vaccination.
How to make an appointment?
Online via Doctolib or by the telephone platform on 03 87 345 345. Time slots will be open from this Wednesday February 24 at 10am. These are the only two ways to make an appointment. No need to go directly to the Theater.
What are the opening hours?
Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At the same time, an adjoining screening center (antigenic tests), run by volunteer pharmacists, will open on Saturday, March 13, every other Saturday.
Do you have to show up in advance?
No, you have to be on time for your appointment, in order to better manage the flows. The center aligns three immunization chains.
Could the center be transferred if cultural activities resume?
No programming taking place in March and April, the Municipal Theater is fully dedicated to vaccination during this time. Beyond that, transfer solutions are possible.
