Aigle wants to strengthen its commitment to nature. The brand of the Swiss group Maus (Lacoste, Gant…) becomes a company with a mission. With the raison d’être: “to allow everyone to fully live experiences without leaving imprints other than those of their footsteps”. “It’s a natural development, believes Sandrine Conseiller, its general manager. We have been committed to this for 150 years. We are the first fashion brand to make this choice ”.

Since 1853, Aigle has been manufacturing natural rubber boots in France near Châtellerault (Vienne) (26% of its income), which have become iconic. “These are durable models made to be kept for 30 to 40 years,” emphasizes its manager. The company, whose sales amounted to 280 million euros in 2020 (consumer prices) also offers technical clothing (parkas, fleeces, etc.) and accessories (gloves, backpacks, etc.) produced in Asia.
