At 7:20 am on the 23rd, a woman was hit by a KTX train and died at Yeongdeungpo Station in Seoul.
According to KORAIL, the accident occurred when the train leaving Haengsin Station and heading for Yeosu Expo Station passed Yeongdeungpo Station and the woman jumped off the platform onto the track. Police and KORAIL are collecting the body.
Passengers aboard the accident train transferred to another KTX that followed, and other trains were running normally through separate tracks, Korail explained.
Meanwhile, at 8:06 am on the same day, there was an accident in which passengers transferred to the next train due to a malfunction at the entrance of the subway line 3 train going to Ogeum Station. The broken vehicle was moved for repair, and other trains were in normal operation, the Seoul Transportation Corporation said.
