The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, announced this Monday the reopening of the state cinemas on March 5 for the first time since the start of the pandemic, although they will do so at 25% of their capacity, up to a maximum of 50 people.
Cuomo, who announced the measure in a teleconference, pointed out that masks should be used in cinemas and that social distancing should be respected, although it will not be necessary to test for coronavirus, while the owners of theaters will need improvements in their systems of ventilation.
