The first days of confinement forced by the pandemic were the perfect incubator for “The voices”, the first “official” video clip of the Plenilunio band, a conjunction of voices and musicians from different parts of the country, including two from San Juan Ariel Luna and Juan Cruz Sarmiento. The indie song (for being independently conceived) and with fresh groove and soft melodies, as described, can already be heard on different platforms such as Spotify and You Tube, from where it is gaining followers and adherence by leaps and bounds.
“This song arose at a very difficult time, at a time of much introspection. The lyrics transport us to that feeling, so close to the surface, that it does not lead us to think about the things we did in the past, of which sometimes we regret it and we even punish ourselves, but it shouldn’t be like that, we have to sort our feelings and move on listening to our inner voices that guide us. This is the song we wanted, ” summarizes Celina Contigiani and anticipates that the band has the Minus two other songs almost ready, about to be presented in society.

The Cordovan woman – actually from Marcos Juárez, to the southeast of the capital of that province – that the voice of the band is the one who wrote the lyrics and shared it with the rest. The song was recorded in his home with the home studio of San Juan Ariel Luna. It was Nicolás Giarmaná who contributed the basses and the musician Francisco Azorai, a session player for bands like Wos, Chita, Emmanuel Horvilleur, Conocando Russia, who was in charge of the mixing and mastering. While the final results of the video clip for Las Voces are the work of Lihuen Peirone, audiovisual producer of Villa María.
Plenilunio was born as a duo in 2019 and soon after grew as a band. Initially, it was only made up of only Celina Contengiani and Ariel Luna (producer, guitarist and choirs), who met while studying for a Bachelor of Music Composition. Over the months they added Sarmiento, Giarmaná and Roberto Metral (keyboard player).
As a duo they have already performed in San Juan and now they hope to be able to return to the province as soon as possible, as a band and with the new songs.
“It’s always good to go back to San Juan to show what one does with so much love,” says Ariel Luna, who confesses that he never studied music in the province, except for some guitar lessons that he took with a private teacher. But how he taught Folklore and he was interested in rock, it was a few months and he dropped out. He tried the UNSJ School of Music but could not enter because he had exceeded his age. So he turned to the freest and most unlimited academy that the Internet offered him: with You Tube learned everything from the hands of his favorite groups, which was enough to create his San Juan band, Alma Gemelas, and enter a career in Musical Composition, from which he has already put much of the knowledge learned into practice.
