Indore: Jharkhand won the Vijay Hazare Trophy ODI by a huge margin of 324 runs.

Batting first, Jharkhand scored 422 for nine. In reply, Madhya Pradesh were all out for 98 in 18.4 overs. Jharkhand has the highest score in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In 2010, he set a record of 416 for six against Madhya Pradesh Railways.

Ishant Kishan (173 off 94 balls, including 11 sixes and 19 fours) was the top scorer for Jharkhand. Ankool Roy (72 off 39 balls with seven sixes and three fours), Virat Singh (68 off 49 balls with six sixes and five fours) and Sumit Kumar (52 off 58 balls) also scored half-centuries. Madhya Pradesh’s Puneet Death was the top scorer with 93 runs in nine overs. Sarnash Jain conceded 86 runs in nine overs. Gaurav Yadav was the only batsman to take four wickets for 73 runs. Madhya Pradesh were bowled out by fast bowler Varun Aaron.

Varun took six wickets for just 37 runs. Bal Krishna took two wickets while Rahul Shukla and Shabad Nadeem took one wicket each. Only opener and wicketkeeper Abhishek Bhandari (42) and Venkatesh Iyer (23) crossed the two-wicket mark. Four, including skipper Parth Sahani, were out for zero. Ishaan also shone with seven catches behind the wicket.
