– Forest authorities are having a hard time fighting the fires that occurred in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do on the 20th.

According to the Forest Service, the fire occurred at Mt. Nochu, Gujeol-ri, Yeoryang-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, around 3:50 pm.

The Forest Service started to evolve by putting 11 helicopters, including 3 extra-large helicopters and 5 large helicopters, as well as 212 people including air extinguishers, special extinguishers, public officials, firefighters, and police, and 16 equipment such as fire fighting vehicles.

However, the fire site was a steep slope where it was difficult to put manpower into it, and a strong wind of 6.2 meters per second had difficulty in extinguishing it.

Now, as the sun goes down, it has been transformed into a nightly evolutionary system. The extinguishing helicopter was evacuated, and ground personnel are being used to extinguish it. The fire department and the police are protecting the neighborhood of private homes for fear of the spread of wildfires at night.

To date, the exact cause and damage area have not been identified.
