Genoa. Has been agreement reached between the Liguria Region and general practitioners (Fimmg; Snami; Smi; Cisl Medici; Fp Cgil Medici; Simet; Sumai).
The agreement provides that from next week general practitioners will carry out some activities:
• The reservation for seniors over 80 years own clients for administration at the facilities of health companies of vaccines a mRNA and, in the subsequent phase, for the patients who will be indicated by the Region / companies;
• The administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine (currently available) to subjects between 18 and 65 years old (and no longer 55 following today’s determination by Aifa) without serious pathologies, his patients, or other vaccines that will become available (also at the patient’s home).
• The participation as members of vaccination teams for the administration of anti-Covid-19 vaccines at the facilities of health companies to enhance vaccination capacity in the area.
The agreement also provides that the general practitioner collaborate in the identification and booking in phase 2 of their patients belonging to categories 1 (vulnerable, ultra-severe comorbidities) e 4 (increased risk, comorbidities) indicating to those health care companies non-ambulatory subjects for whom vaccination must be performed at home.
Plus general practitioners will be able to collaborate – on a voluntary basis and for collaborative purposes, to facilitate the streamlining of administrative / bureaucratic procedures related to the administration of the vaccine at local structures – filling in the medical history form that the patient must submit at the vaccination point at the time of administration of the vaccine.
