While singer-producer Tank (28, real name Jin-woong Ahn) claimed to have suffered labor exploitation and verbal violence by Leessang singer Gil (43, real name Sung-jun Gil), Gil announced legal action.
Tank posted a video on his YouTube channel on the 17th and said, “Gill was misogynistic, assaulted by the manager, and made four girlfriends, and for a year he made me and others like slaves without a contract, but paid any money for it. I didn’t even do it, and even after I left him, I’ve been looking for me, and when another composer threatened me to sue for plagiarism, he threatened me to overturn it and that it was for your future.”
In the video, the tank did not accurately reveal who the man was, but the suspicion was raised as to whether it was the way by explaining it as a performer of’Infinite Challenge’ and’Show Me the Money 5′. After that, the video was deleted, but the tank uploaded the video again on the 19th and apologized for mentioning the deceased person in the video, but reiterated that his claim was true.
In response, Gil’s legal representative, Oracle Law Firm, issued an official position on the afternoon of the 19th and responded to various suspicions, saying, “The allegations of the YouTuber (tank) are obviously false facts, and the act of disseminating them and expanding and reproducing them to be true is a crime I’ll give you.”
Oracle said, “Tank is a group of composers with Gil, who has worked on music for about a year, and the group of composers receives a share of the profits generated from the resulting music, not an employment relationship, but a kind of partnership.” “In such a relationship, the composers have to share the cost, but Tank does not bear any cost, and only receives the distribution of the copyright share of the music they worked with,” he explained.
“If the claim that the road unilaterally ordered the work and did not pay the corresponding price is true, I would like to ask why the copyright ownership of the’Swallowtail Butterfly’ that we worked with is three times higher than the road, and in the practice room that members use jointly, It was questionable when and how they were able to imprison people.” In addition, regarding the copyright issue of the’Swallowtail Butterfly’, the claim that the road tried to overturn the error on the YouTuber was actually unfounded.
“Tank continues the road from before uploading the video that triggered the incident on YouTube, such as sending a video or message stating that he is receiving psychiatric treatment and resolves to OO from time to time or that slanders the road. “Gill will actively take civil and criminal legal actions, including criminal charges and claims for damages, for the spread of unfounded false information through this law firm, and will respond strictly without any agreement or preemptive action in this process.” He announced a response.
