Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – According to the organizers, around 200 beauticians demonstrated in front of the Düsseldorf state parliament on Friday. Most of the participants, dressed entirely in white, appealed to the state government to reopen the cosmetic studios. The new corona protection regulation only allows foot care again from March 1st.
“We appeal to you: Open our beauty salons! Save our industry! But also save the inner cities with retail,” said a speaker at the demo. Around 50 percent of cosmetic studios in Germany are on the verge of bankruptcy and over 175,000 jobs are at risk.
